Fiddle
Workshop with Jamie Laval, 11:00am-1:00pm Sunday February 28, 2010. Jamie
Laval, one of the premier celtic fiddlers on the international music scene, will lead this workshop of interest to students
at all levels, beginning to advanced. He'll teach the class primarily by ear, but sheet music of tunes and bowing styles
will be given for home study. We will encourage a fun, supportive learning environment in which no-one will be singled out.
Audio recorders welcome. Registration is $25 if received by February 21. After that, registration is $30. The workshop will
be held in a private home in North Seattle. Please contact David Perasso at 206-417-0440 or perasso@cruzio.com for registration
and directions. And don’t miss Jamie’s concert at Phinney Neighborhood
Center, Saturday February 27th — sponsored by Seattle Folklore Society.
